Chardelle Moore to Judge at #STEAMtheBlock™ Party DC

 

Chardelle Moore will serve as a judge at this year’s #STEAMtheBlock™ Party DC on Saturday, October 17, 2025, at Gateway DC.

Hosted by the Swaliga Foundation, this free, community-driven festival blends Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) education with music, food, and cultural experiences. Youth will enjoy interactive STEAM stations, hands-on workshops, panel discussions, culinary experiences, and live performances from D.C.’s top artists.

The event will be emceed by WPGC’s Nori Nori and feature performances from TOB, Mr. IMAG, Uptown XO, Entaty, Noodles & Beat Ya Feet Finest, UCB, and Pinky Killacorn.

Festival highlights include youth competitions in Photography and T-Shirt Design, judged virtually with winners announced live on stage in two categories: Junior Varsity (ages 5–12) and Varsity (ages 13–18). The Business Pitch Competition challenges students to deliver three-minute “Shark Tank”-style presentations, evaluated on creativity, innovation, and overall presentation.

As a judge, Chardelle brings expertise in media, the arts, and entrepreneurship, inspiring students to embrace creativity and leadership.

The Swaliga Foundation, dedicated to “Engineering the Art of Education,” has impacted over 3,000 youth and families in Washington, D.C., and expanded programs internationally to South Africa, where youth unemployment remains as high as 55%.
